 Competition at  work: Council has a three-year contract with Country Energy, which is set to expire on June 30, 2010.
  Local views: Councillor Stephanie McDonald raised her concerns about joining forces with larger more "metro-centric" councils because she felt council should be supporting retailers who support local jobs, the newspaper reported.
